Instructions on Emailing the Premier:

Please read the following before submitting your message:

1. To ensure that your email account is not being used by others and that you are able to receive our reply, a confirmation mail will be sent to you automatically. Please click on the link attached therein and then we will process your email. If you have not received the confirmation mail, please check your junk or spam folder. Your email will not be processed without your confirmation.

2. Duplicate emails submitted without new evidence by the same sender will be combined and processed together. No additional notice will be sent concerning combining submissions.

3. In accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act, which came into effect October 1, 2012, we will not release your personal information to a third party without your consent unless required for official business. As government agencies have different jurisdictions and areas of expertise, we may forward your email to the appropriate ministry or agency for reply. Your basic information (including name, phone number, street address and email address) will be forwarded along with your message.

4. If you would like to keep the information or identities in your message confidential, or if you are concerned about the risks associated with online exchanges, please send a letter by regular post instead to the Executive Yuan (No. 1, Sec. 1, Zhongxiao E. Rd., Taipei 10058, Taiwan) and indicate “Confidential” on the letter. We will forward your letter to the appropriate unit for processing. This is required by the Executive Yuan’s Document Processing Manual (Article 62, paragraph 2), which stipulates that confidential documents must be sealed and sent via manual delivery. The Regulations Governing Information Security Management of the Executive Yuan and Organizations under the Executive Yuan (Article 27, paragraph 1) also stipulate that confidential information and documents must not be transmitted via email or other electronic means.
